Gilles de Kerchove

Gilles de Kerchove is a retired senior European Union official with over 25 years of experience in foreign policy and counter-terrorism. Previously the EU Counter Terrorism Coordinator, Director for Justice and Home Affairs at the EU Council General Secretariat and Minister of Justice within the Federal Government of Belgium, de Kerchove teaches European Law at numerous Belgian universities.
He has also published a number of books and articles on European law, human rights and security, obtaining a Masters in Law at Yale Law School in 1984.
