Our Work

Inter Mediate works across four priority areas:

Crisis response, de-escalation, and political dialogues

We provide rapid, on-demand support to political leaders responding to emerging or escalating crises. Through confidential channels, we help leaders manage risk, explore dialogue opportunities where possible, and prevent violence from spiralling further.

Backchannels with hard-to-reach conflict actors

When direct negotiations are impossible or inadvisable, we help broker discreet channels of communication between key conflict parties. Our engagement builds the foundations for dialogue between groups, mitigating active violence and creating space for political solutions in some of the world’s most intractable conflicts.

Nuclear risk reduction and long-term security architectures

We convene trusted, off-the-record platforms for dialogue between nuclear powers, regional actors, and other stakeholders. Our aim is to support efforts to reduce strategic risks, strengthen communication, and foster more stable and inclusive security frameworks.

Peacemaking legacy and lessons

We capture, analyse, and share insights from past and current peace processes to inform future efforts. Through fellowships, dialogues, and advisory work, we help the next generation of negotiators, political leaders, and government officials refine their approaches to negotiation and conflict resolution.
