Mission and Principles
Our Mission
Inter Mediate’s mission is to advance political solutions toward a more peaceful and secure world.
We aim to equip those at the heart of conflict with the lessons and tools they need to make a lasting peace. We draw on the hard-won lessons of past peace processes, recognising their value while understanding that each conflict is shaped by its own unique complexities and dynamics.
By doing so, we aim not only to help end violence and human suffering, but also to address the broader costs of conflict — economic deprivation, polarisation, transnational crime, human rights violations, and constraints on basic rights — enabling societies to build a more secure and prosperous future.
Our Principles
Our approach is grounded in principles that ensure integrity, inclusivity, and discretion in every engagement.
Impartiality
Inter Mediate seeks to promote dialogue between conflicting parties. It does not seek to advance any parties’ agenda or any particular political ideology.
Sustainability
Inter Mediate initiates and supports sustainable, long-term conflict resolution. We aim to do this through promoting participation of all key parties in dialogue processes and establishing enduring communication channels and relationships of trust between parties.
Confidentiality
In many conflicts, the potential cost of negotiations, both politically and in terms of personal security, necessitate confidential channels. Inter Mediate creates the appropriate frameworks for sensitive dialogue processes, safeguarding our interlocutors and their efforts toward peace.
